Sorry Guys!! I didn't mean to let you hang there. I felt the thank you was most important. OK... It was a very poorly installed "NUT". It was sloppy nut that was moving back and forth. It was very minute but it was substantial, more than I realized. A lesson learned. Also the saddle was leaning forward towards the soundhole. The combination of the two made a very significant amount of play or sloppiness. Again a lesson well learned. As I replaced the "NUT" it was getting a bit better. Then after replacing the saddle and using the saddle matic it was obvious the combination of the two made a considerable amount of ERRORS!! You all made significant mention towards a solution which made this poor guitar sound as new and sounding correct and clear. Thanks again for all your help. I didn't charge my friend a dime. It was a lesson learned for me. He returned the guitar to his friend and insisted on paying me. I refused and asked him to throw some business my way. Thanks again to all of YOU GUYS! walter |
